I had had the vision to start up an online gift registry service in Nigeria for a number of years, but felt it was an enormous task to take on. However, with the protracted pandemic crisis, I knew change in the way of doing things- conducting events, social gatherings, gifting, had come quickly and unexpectedly and it was an opportunity I could no longer ignore. With additional support and inspiration from friends and family, I decided to embark on the journey in December 2020, starting with conducting a market survey with friends and family. While I was on vacation in Lagos, I randomly started discussing my business plans with my sister and her friend and discovered that she had wanted to start a gift registry too. It was definitely destiny that brought us together. We immediately bonded over our interest in gift registries as a simple business idea with a vast opportunity for expansion in the Nigerian market. I proposed to her to be my lawful-wedded business partner and SincerelyYours was born!

I've always loved to solve problems. I remember having to carry gifts from my cousin's wedding venue back home, because there was "just no space for it in their car" and then making arrangements to waybill it to hers. There was package after package of plates, spoons, knives and i kept wondering to myself, "why will somebody need all these plates and spoons?" "and why can't I let people know exactly what to get me?"😩 So you can imagine my delight in 2018, when i discovered online gift registries. I started looking into creating one and even got as far registering a name "wishes&me". But life happened. Lol They say love happens when you least expect it, which was exactly what occurred, when during a random conversation with Amara, I discovered that she was the one I had been waiting for! It was definitely love at first conversation. She asked to be my lawful-wedded business partner and I said "Of Course!"😄 We've come a long way and I'll always be grateful for that random Tuesday morning that gave birth to SincerelyYoursNg.
